This blog has been build & run by Abang Edwin SA (nick: Bangwin). It’s a place to post his opinion, analysis or anything that he thought important enough to share to all of us.

Bangwin is a lover of online media since the internet penetrate Indonesia for the first time. And since then he decided to make the internet or online media as his second world (after real-world of course).

Beside internet, he’s so into music as well. He claimed himself as a unsuccessful-wannabe musician cause as a musician he felt he never be took off like all his musician friends. In that condition, he try very hard to put an effort in music around the music itself, for example, he run an indie label (RedTurtle Music) and also he become a promoter to bring Indonesian band to perform in Singapore (Esplanade, mostly).

With a product design capabilities he got in college and also in his early work experience in electronic home appliances industry, Bangwin also has experience in processing and making the Internet a great place to “gather”. Someone called it with beautiful naming, “Online Community Management” which is also include Social Media strategy in it.

In 2003, in New York City, Bangwin successfully build an Internet radio for Indonesian-listener. The name of this radio is Voice Of Jakarta (VOJ) , and now this radio in standby mode, since Bangwin manage it all by himself. Thanks to VOJ, then Bangwin invited to become an instructor at a DIY event in New York City on 2004, to teach how to build their own online radio media.

In 2007, Bangwin joined Yahoo! Southeast Asia as a Community Manager, where his job is to manage and maintain the user of Yahoo!’s community products until he decided to resign with last position as a Senior Community & Social Media Manager for Yahoo! Indonesia in 2012.

After helping one Singapore-based start-up company called Thoughtbuzz enter Indonesia market for 5 months he start offering his capability as an consultant for companies who interested to start or activate their existence online. You can find this in detail at here.
